Anything that modifies the Minecraft Client is referred to as a Minecraft Modification, or "mod". There are some mods that are allowed on the LavenderMC Network and some which are disallowed. Read the following information carefully, regarding Allowed and Disallowed Mods as using blacklisted mods is punishable

Allowed mods:

  • Non-game altering client performance mods. FPS boosting mods are an example of a type of performance mod that is allowed.
  • Aesthetic mods that do not affect gameplay are allowed. This means shaders or resource packs that do not allow you to gain any unfair advantages over other players.
  • Cosmetic heads up display (HUD) mods that expand the vanilla HUDs is allowed. Seeing currently equipped armor, status effects, and other menus available to the player in vanilla are allowed but seeing information that is not available to a vanilla player is not allowed.

Disallowed mods:

Any mod that gives an unfair advantage over other players. This means mods which allow you to do actions that others cannot do, this includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Xray - letting you see through blocks.
  • Killaura - hitting entities in a radius around yourself.
  • Aimbot - automatically aiming perfectly.

This is not a comprehensive list but an example of the type of mods that are disallowed.

If you are unsure of any Mods or Clients that are allowed or are not allowed, ask a Staff Member before connecting to LavenderMC's Network with unlisted Mods or Clients.
